Trips For Kids Harrisburg provides bike trips to Harrisburg area youth ages 10 to 18 in conjunction with other local non-profit and government organizations that serve our children. Our objective is to build body, mind and spirit, increase respect for self and the outdoors, and by all means to have fun. Trips occur primarily on the Capital Area Greenbelt, a 20 mile walking and biking trail around and in the City of Harrisburg. Trips last approximately three to six hours and begin in Reservoir Park. Participants begin each trip with a bike and helmet fitting and a safety overview that includes safe riding tips and rules of the road.
For more information or to schedule a trip, please contact Scott Shepler at 717-236-0261. Anyone wishing to volunteer to help with the chapter would be greatly appreciated.
