Ride Program

Trips For Kids Harrisburg provides mountain bike trips on the Capital Area Greenbelt to area non-profit and government organizations serving our kids.

Mountain bikes and helmets are provided at no cost to the organization.

The following parameters are in place to help ensure a positive experience:

• Kids must be ages 10 to 18 years old
• Trips must have one adult for every four kids
• Kids on a trip should have similar riding ability
• All riders are required to wear helmets and carry water
• Helmets must fit properly, hair styles must not prevent proper helmet fit
• Riders should wear sneakers and pants that will not get caught in chains
• Trips start at the Reservoir Park Band Shell
• Trips begin with a brief safety overview
• Organizations must have a volunteer on call to pickup anyone who experiences major mechanical problems
• Parent or guardian waivers of liability are required.
